5 productive things to do on a sunday
Sunday is an awesome day. I used to have a love-hate relationship with Sundays. I used to be pretty lazy on a Sunday, it was the day where I would do the bare minimum and just sit watching films or a not-so-thrilling series on tv. This was also a day for eating my way through crisps, popcorn and chocolate as I binge watched the telly. Now, there is absolutely nothing wrong with having a chill day, I still have those now (not as often unfortunately), BUT I would get to Monday morning and not only feel tired and generally crappy but also feel completely unprepared for the week ahead.
Fast forward a couple of years and I bloody love a Sunday! Sundays have gone from 'Netflix and Chill' to 'Plan and Work'. I now use my Sundays to get some work done and to prepare for the week ahead. Without my productive Sundays I would feel very disorganised and a little anxious at what the week will bring if I don't have everything sorted so, here are 5 little tips to get your Sundays in gear and start the week organised and ready to roll...
Plan your workouts/Exercise for the week ahead
Planning your exercise and what you are going to do in each session is one of the best ways to stay consistent with your training routine. Having these written down somewhere will help you stay accountable and you are more likely to stick to them this way too. Also plan in your rest days too, they are just as important.
I don't particularly have a set day for certain types of exercise at the moment because I have to be pretty flexible with my job but each weekend I do try to plan and book some sessions in ahead. I also switch my plan up each week and do different things. Some weeks my workouts will be short and sweet home or gym workouts where as other weeks I may have time to fit in some HIIT training and classes. I am currently aiming to get in 1/2 F45 classes a week plus mixing it up with swimming, yoga, weight training and running.
