Flourless Protein Chocolate Brownies

Note: Peanut butter and protein used in this recipe were gifted.

Since we can't seem to buy flour anywhere in the midst of this pandemic I thought it would be ideal to make something that doesn't involve any flour at all! So, dive face first into some egg and flour-free chocolate brownies! Packed full of gooey goodness and only 5 ingredients these are sure to be a winner in anyones book! To make these brownies vegan friendly simply omit the chocolate chips or use vegan chocolate (protein powder used is already vegan). They really are simply delicious.

Recipe

(Makes 12-15 squares)

6 Medium Bananas
1 Cup Almond Butter (or any nut butter)
1/2 Cup Cacao Powder
2 Scoops Chocolate Protein Powder (I used Free Soul)
100g Dark Chocolate Chips (optional)

Method

Pre-heat oven to 180 C/350 F and line a 7x10" brownie tin; pop to one side.
Mash bananas in a bowl and mix in almond butter.
Add protein powder and cacao and mix well.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Pour into your brownie tin and bake for 22-25 minutes, remove when the centre is still ever so slightly gooey.
Leave to cool completely before cutting.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Another method of preparing is the following-
Blend bananas and almond butter in a food processor until smooth.
Add cacao powder and protein powder and blend until well mixed and a smooth batter is formed.
Fold in chocolate chips with a spoon.
Continue to follow remaining instructions above.
