my 2018 resolutions


New Year resolutions are an awesome way to keep people focussed. Some people think they are pointless and don't work where as others make resolutions every year. Personally, making resolutions and setting goals for myself helps me focus so I will still be having goals and things I am striving to achieve. In 2018 my resolutions are more of a progression from my 2017 goals rather than brand new resolutions. I feel I achieved pretty much everything I wanted to in 2017 so I plan to build on this in 2018, with only a few new resolutions thrown in there. Here are just a few of the things I would like to achieve in 2018-

Socialise

2017 has been a whirlwind year and although it has been seriously successful in many ways, when I sit down and look back at the year I realise that I have spent very little time with my friends. Yes I see my friends pretty much weekly as we all go to the same fitness classes but, they see each other much more than I see them and I feel that I'm slowly drifting further away from it all, which I really don't want to. When I really think about it, it's quite lonely. I would certainly like to see them more out of the 'fitness regime' so 2018 will be the year to do that, even if it's just a quick coffee!

time off

As 2017 has been so busy, I want to continue doing what I'm doing without becoming stressed and anxious over work that needs doing which in turn has led me to just continually work with no regards to relaxing and moving away from it for an hour. A lot of evenings and many full weekends have been taken up trying to get work done and in 2018 I don't want that to be the case so, I will be scheduling one full day per week and one evening (probably the same day) to completely switch off from work and blogging. I guess you could say I want to find the right balance between work and rest :).

personal training

I recently became a qualified personal trainer and I want 2018 to be the year where I do something properly with it. I've kind of dabbled in and out of stuff in 2017 but I want to really add this new side to my business in 2018 and make it really work. I want to help people achieve their goals, I want to be there for people when they need a little help or advice and I want people to be happy and healthy.

travel

2017 was an incredible year for travel and I want 2018 to be even bigger and better! I want to explore new cities and places, I want to discover new things and I really want to discover more of the UK! It's a pretty big target for one year but in 2018 I would love to visit Jamaica, Budapest and go back to Mallorca (already booked- whoop!) and New York. Aim high they say!!

work/blogging

2017 was a huge year for my blog and it allowed me to be able to go part-time with my blog and recipe development. In 2018 I want to continue building relationships with brands, writing awesome content, creating delicious and healthy recipes and taking my content and blog to the next level. I'm not going into detail as I like to work on things in the background to make sure it's perfect before announcing but you can expect more workout videos on my social channels, a new section on my blog and well, watch this space for other announcements ;)

So there you have it. These are just some of my 2018 resolutions and goals. I haven't really set any fitness or health goals as to be honest I know what I'm doing in that area and that is coasting along nicely for me. Yes there are always going to be small goals in this area but in the grand scheme of things I want to make 2018 the year of working even harder, travelling more and enjoying life to the full!
