oat bread

Whilst I was baking the delicious Sweet Peanut Butter Loaf the other day I was thinking about a savoury bread recipe that was simple, quick and real easy to make. I am forever buying all sorts of breads- sourdough, rye and protein rolls, but I thought it would be a nice change to make something from scratch than can be used in the same way as the other breads we buy.
So that is exactly what I did! I made it in 'loaf' form so that we can easily cut slices off it rather than have a whole roll or bite. This Oat Bread is moist, oaty and just tastes so good!

Ingredients
1 Cup Oats + extra to sprinkle
1 Cup Wholemeal Flour
1 Tbsp. Baking Powder
Pinch of Salt
2 Tbsp. Honey
1 Cup Oat Milk
Coconut Oil for greasing

Directions
Pre-heat oven to 200 degrees- I have a fan oven
Grease a loaf tin with the coconut oil
In a bowl mix the oats, wholemeal flour, salt and baking powder
Add the honey and oat milk and combine. The mixture should be thick and gloopy.
Pour into the loaf tin and even out using a spatula
Sprinkle over some oats (as many as you like!)
Pop in the oven for 25 minutes
Your oat bread is ready when you insert a knife into the centre of the loaf and it comes out clean
Take out of the oven and let cool for an hour

This bread really is so delicious. It has a proper 'bready' taste and texture so will go well with anything from eggs to peanut butter!

Hope you guys enjoy this one!
