AD | The Future of Fitness: Audio?^When it comes to fitness we usually think of going to the gym, fitness classes or playing some kind of sport. But, did you know fitness goes a lot further than that? Throw it back a few years and yes, the gym probably played the biggest role in peoples lives when we think of the term 'fitness'. But, let's bring it forward to the last 3-4 years and fitness has taken a huge turn; into the online world. Taking fitness online has opened up the term 'fitness' and exercise to everyone. Many people aren't able to get to or access gyms and fitness classes for a variety of reasons so bringing fitness to them in their own homes is a great way to get lots of people involved. There are many apps and programmes our there as well as online coaches and trainers who cater for this. But, what if we were to take it a step further? Here's where audio steps into centre stage. Like many, my own fitness regime is multifaceted, combining daily dog walks, classes, outdoor runs, swimming and a standard gym membership which gives me access to gym equipment for weight training. But, sometimes time isn't on my side so fitting in a good combination of everything doesn't always happen in the week. This is where audio fitness really plays it's part. I may only have 20-30 minutes in between work so I sometimes need something quick and convenient to do. Enter Auro. Auro is an audio fitness app that I've been using since the end of December last year and it's the perfect combination of variety, convenience and motivation. It can be used anywhere so even if you're away on holiday with no access to any fitness equipment you can pop Auro on and get a workout in, even if only 20 minutes. My favourite thing about Auro is there is a PT chatting you through your workout and it's like they are just there with you, encouraging you to carry on through each exercise, set and rep. Audio offers workouts that feel more seamless and natural rather than being stuck in front of a TV, iPad or any screen for that matter. You simply select a workout, pop your headphones in and off you go. It's a great option for anyone with a hectic schedule or someone who is on-the-go a lot and is unable to have a set membership to any gyms or studios. If you're interested in giving Auro a go then head to their website here to download your 30-day FREE trial or the app is also available to download on the AppStore and PlayStore. Use the code ‘FORSTER’ to get 20% off your subscription. There's absolutely no commitment and you can cancel anytime you like :) Happy fitness!
